Spiritual Testament of Pierre Bienvenu Noailles

"Love one another;
love one another tenderly."

Fr. Noailles died at Bordeaux on 8 February 1861 after a long and painful illness. His death was exemplay and up to the end he recalled the spirit that should guide the members of the Holy Family.

"I am about to leave you; do not be troubled at my departure. Be closely united in the love of Jesus Christ. Have only one heart and one soul, one will to make God loved and to win all hearts so that this good Master will remain among you and the Holy Family, faithful to its mission, will continue to do good on earth.

You will continue my works; you will maintain the spirit your good father has tried to inspire in you - the spirit of dedication, charity, self-forgetfulness, the spirit of God alone, the family spirit."
