"The
Religious Institute of the Holy Family is an institute of pontifical
right approved in 1902. Today it is organised into Provinces and
Delegations for the Apostolic Sisters and into a Vicariate for the
Contemplative Sisters.
The
sisters are in a variety of countries
and cultures, and live the spirit and aim of the whole Family in
community. They are united in the same consecration and together are
dedicated to making Christ known to the world and to working for the
spread of the Kingdom.
The
Apostolic Sisters in their various commitments continue the mission
of the One who went about doing good; the Contemplative Sisters in
silence and solitude prolong the prayerful attitude of Jesus turned
towards his Father.
They
are a support for one another in the gift of themselves to God and
to others. In the midst of the world, they bear witness to the
primacy of God. In this way the Religious Institute shares in the
life and holiness of the Church." (Const.,
art. 4) |
