OUR CONSECRATED SECULAR LIFE

In complementarity and solidarity with the rest of the Family of Pierre Bienvenu Noailles, we, the Consecrated Seculars, seek to live the charism of our Founder, Pierre Bienvenu Noailles.

We participate in the common mission of the Holy Family according to our specific vocation: in the diversity of situations and commitments at the heart of the world, we seek to extend and strengthen the faith by being a sign of unity.

"His spirit permeates and sanctifies the world through us."

We continue the life of Nazareth and of the first Christian communities, seeking God Alone: a life of faith, obedience and love…a life of poverty, of apostolic zeal…a hidden life lived in simplicity and gentleness.

Like the leaven in the dough, we are destined to be a leaven of salvation, of divine presence"

Our life exteriorly resembles that of others.  We live either alone or in our family, and earn our own living. Out of love for Christ, we endeavour to centre our entire existence on him.   Our consecration is lived from within, letting us be moulded by the Spirit of the Lord.

In the simplicity of everyday life, with the discretion that characterises our vocation, we seek what God wants to say to us through daily events, through the Church and through history.

Our style of life permits us to be present to others and to respond freely to all types of needs in different contexts: the family, the office, school, hospital… the young and the aged … wherever there is someone to be loved and helped.

Our consecration opens us to universal love.

We work to make the world "one single family" and to make those around us happy.

Prayer, Eucharist and the reading of Scripture nourish our life of faith.

The Lord makes use of the humblest of instruments to realise his marvels; we are conscious of possessing a treasure in earthen vessels.

Our life is a constant "yes" to the Lord, like the "yes" of Mary at the Annunciation... a "yes" said each day with a new heart.

Although isolated from one another, in God Alone we live a spiritual fraternity which rests on fidelity to the Charism and communion in prayer.  We share, depending on circumstances, our faith, our prayer and our life. This sharing cements the union strengthened by a common inspiration, it necessitates mutual welcome and gift, special solicitude for the sick or infirm members or those with a heavy burden to bear.

The Secular vocation is addressed to women who have sufficient maturity to lead their life, capable of helping others, of living in solitude, having a deep interior life, desirous of consecrating themselves to God in the midst of the word by the Evangelical Counsels (obedience, poverty and chastity).
