THE PRIEST ASSOCIATES

We, the Priest Associates of the Holy Family, are an international group of diocesan priests.

Like all priests, we live our ministry in obedience and availability to our bishop and in communion with the presbyterium.

"May they all be one" (John 17:21)

With the desire to live more deeply and in a more meaningful way our priestly commitment, we choose freely to live the charism and the spirituality of Father Pierre Bienvenu Noailles.

We are members of the big Family of Pierre Bievenu Noailles. In complementarity with the other vocations (Apostolic and Contemplative religious, Consecrated Seculars, Lay Associates), and nourished by the same spirituality, we live the same mission according to our specific vocation.

"Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."                                                                                                  (Mt. 6:33)

We wish to give God the first place in our life and live the Spirit of God Alone in the manner of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, who sought God's will in all things.

Through our priesthood we continue the mission of Jesus who "came to gather together all people… to form with them one family of brothers and sisters."(Annals 1839)

Nourished by the Eucharist, the Word of God and prayer, we try to live and build communion through everything that constitutes our everyday life.

We share with the people our experience of the loving presence of God, thus helping them to elicit their own response to the calls of the Spirit, and we guide them in their prayer.

Simplicity and detachment chracterise our life:

Simplicity in our lifestyle
Simplicity in our relationships
Simplicity in our attitude of availability

Detachment is the expression of our interior freedom, of our refusal to become slaves of ourselves, of someone or of some thing.

We commit ourselves in favour of the poor and the needy, to promote justice, peace and reconciliation, respect for life, for human dignity and for creation.

At present we are 52 committed priests and 15 in formation.

Meetings at local and international levels support our commitment and strengthen our belonging..
